August 2022 Pangkalpinang city deflation by 1.20 percent

Deflation was caused by the decline in indexes in 4 expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco by 2.31 percent; health group by 0.02 percent; transportation group by 3.61 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.18 percent. On the other hand, expenditure groups that experienced inflation were: clothing and footwear by 0.43 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel groups by 0.49 percent; recreation, sports and culture groups by 0.03 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.13 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.11 percent. Meanwhile, the equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group and the education group did not experience changes in the index.
