Abstract

A. TOURISM DEVELOPMENT

The number of guests staying at star-rated hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in February 2020 was 33,638. This number increased by 9.53 percent compared to the previous month's number of 30,712 people. The number of foreign guests rose 5.76 percent and the number of domestic guests rose 9.63 percent.

Room Classification Rates (TPK) for star classification hotels in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in February 2020 reached an average of 30.88 percent, up 3.53 points compared to the TPK of January 2020 which was recorded at 27.35 percent.

The highest ROR for star-rated hotels by district / city in February 2020 was in Central Bangka by 40.89 percent, followed by Kota Pangkalpinang (34.14 percent), P. Belitung (28.08 percent), and Bangka Regency (18.31 percent) .

In February 2020, the average total length of stay of guests at a star classification hotel was 1.75 days, a decrease of 0.03 days compared to the previous month. During February 2020, the average length of stay of foreign guests (2.80 days) was 1.08 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.72 days).

B. TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT

The number of inter-island sea transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in February 2020 was 11.64 thousand people, a decrease of 7.24 percent compared to January 2020. When compared with the same period in the previous year (January-February 2019), the number of passengers departing rose by 15.04 percent.

The number of inter-island sea transportation passengers arriving in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in February 2020 was 10.72 thousand people. The number increased by 2.22 percent compared to the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (January-February 2019), the flow of incoming passengers decreased by 5.03 percent.

The volume of goods loaded at the port in February 2020 was 588.85 thousand tons, down by 5.24 percent compared to January 2020 which reached 621.43 thousand tons.

The volume of goods unloaded during February 2020 was 206.56 thousand tons, down by 5.73 percent compared to the previous month which reached 219.12 thousand tons.

The number of air transport passengers departing from the Bangka Belitung Islands in February 2020 was 88.90 thousand, down 11.17 percent compared to the previous month.

The number of passengers coming to the Bangka Belitung Islands using air transportation in February 2020 was 87.81 thousand people, down by 21.02 percent compared with the previous month.
