Abstract


  • The economy of the Bangka Belitung Islands in 2018 measured based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp73.07 trillion and the 2010 GDP at constant prices (ADHK) reached Rp52.21 trillion. Meanwhile the GDP per Capita of the Bangka Belitung Islands in 2018 reached IDR 50.05 million.m
  • The economy of the Bangka Belitung Islands in 2018 grew by 4.45 percent, slowing compared to 2017 which amounted to 4.47 percent. In terms of production, the biggest source of growth comes from Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Business Fields. While in terms of expenditure, the largest source of growth comes from the Component of Household Consumption Expenditures.
  • Economy of the Bangka Belitung Islands quarter IV-2018 when compared to quarter IV2017 (y-on-y) grew by 3.70 percent, an increase compared to the same period in the previous year which was 2.91 percent.
  • Economy of the Bangka Belitung Islands quarter IV-2018 compared to the quarter previously (q-to-q) contracted by 1.80 percent. In terms of production, contraction this growth was influenced by the contraction that occurred in several fields businesses that have a large contribution to the economy of the Islands Province Bangka Belitung such as Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; Mining and Excavation; Processing Industry and Large and Retail Trade, Car Repair and Motorbikes. From the expenditure side, contraction in growth is influenced by contraction that occurs in the Export Component which has the second largest contribution for the expenditure side GRDP. There is a circular letter from ICDX (Indonesia Commodity and Derivatives Exchange) in October 2018 which stated the rejection of a certificate of origin of tin ore issued by Surveyor Indonesia private smelter companies that use Surveyor Indonesia services cannot export tin metal in quarter IV-2018.
  • Sumatra's economic growth in 2018 reached 4.54 percent, increasing compared to 2017 which grew by 4.29 percent. Total Island ADHB GRDP Sumatra in 2018 reached Rp3,233.25 trillion or around 21.58 percent of the total GRDP of 34 provinces in Indonesia. While the GDP of the Bangka Islands Province Belitung only contributed 2.26 percent to the Island's GRDP Sumatra and 0.49 percent of the total GRDP of 34 provinces in Indonesia.
