Abstract

A. Export Development

The export value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in December 2018 was worth US $ 112.9 million, down 38.43 percent compared to the export value in December 2017.

The value of tin exports fell by 32.61 percent, while non-oil fell by 51.24 percent (y-on-y).

Compared to the previous month (m-to-m), the value of exports rose by 13.97 percent. Tin exports rose 81.22 percent, while non-coal fell by 46.50 percent.

During January-December 2018, Singapore absorbed 25.63 percent (US $ 348.8 million) of tin exports, while Australia absorbed 24.84 percent (US $ 103.2 million) of non-export exports.

The export value of mineral fuels (HS 27) in January December 2018 amounted to US $ 212.8 million or 51.23 percent of the total non-export exports of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

B. Import Development

The import value of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province in December 2018 was US $ 10.5 million, up 174.51 percent compared to December 2017. Therefore, imports from January to December 2018 were US $ 145.1 million.

As many as 91.00 percent of imports from January to December 2018 in the form of oil and gas.

Non-oil and gas imports from January to December 2018 were dominated by machinery / mechanical aircraft (HS 84) of 66.14 percent (US $ 1.3 million).

In 2018, Malaysia became the main exporter to the Bangka Belitung Islands Province with a value of US $ 112 million (77.21 percent).
