Abstract

In July 2018 Pangkalpinang experienced inflation of 0.34 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 140.92.
Inflation was attributable to rising prices as indicated by the rise of some expenditure group indexes: foodstuffs by 2.65 percent; finished food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.14 percent; housing, water, electricity and fuel group by 0.03 percent; health group by 0.27 percent; as well as recreation, education and sports groups by 0.35 percent. While the deflationary spending group was clothing and transportation, communication and financial services group by 0.23 percent and 2.95 percent respectively.
The July 2018 calendar year inflation rate is 2.90 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (July 2018 to July 2017) is 3.66 percent.
The core component in July 2018 experienced inflation of 0.78 percent; a volatile component of inflation of 1.69 percent; and the government-regulated component of deflation by 2.40 percent.
Province of Bangka Belitung Islands July 2018 experienced inflation of 0.52 percent with CPI of 141.56.
