Abstract

EXPORT OF BANGKA BELITUNG ISLANDS
UNTIL WITH SEPTEMBER 2008 MONTHS TO US $ 1.69 MILLION


  •      In September 2008 the export value of Bangka Islands reached US $ 25.3 million with tin exports of US $ 16.5 million and non tin of US $ 8.9 million. While the cumulative export value from January to September 2008 in total increased 45.51 percent over the same period in 2007 from US $ 1.16 billion to US $ 1.69 billion.
  •      In the period from January to September 2008, tin exports to Singapore reached the largest figure of US $ 1.12 billion or 85.34 percent of total tin exports, followed by Malaysia US $ 78.8 million (6.01 percent), Japan US $ 46, 2 million (3.52 percent), Republic of Korea US $ 27.3 million (2.08 percent), Taiwan US $ 16.9 million (1.29 percent), Hong Kong US $ 9.2 million (0.70 percent) ) And other countries US $ 13.8 million (1.05 percent).
  •      During the period of January-September 2008, all categories of goods experienced an increase in export value.   •      The import value of Bangka Belitung Islands in September 2008 reached US $ 11.3 million, consisting of oil and gas imports of US $ 7.5 million and non-oil and gas imports of US $ 3.8 million. During the period of January-September 2008 the import value of Bangka Belitung Islands Province reached US $ 32.4 million, up 62.27 percent over the same period in 2007 which amounted to US $ 20.0 million.

  •      The imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province from Malaysia during January-September 2008 reached US $ 9.8 million or 30.34 percent of total imports, followed by Singapore at US $ 8.8 million (27.14 percent), Thailand at US $ 6 , 0 million (18.52 percent), Vietnam amounted to US $ 3.9 million (11.97 percent) and the Republic of Korea amounted to US $ 1.3 million (4.01 percent). The contribution of these five countries reached 91.98 percent of the total imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
