In July 2008, the export value of Bangka Belitung Islands based on Free On Board (FOB) price reached US $ 317.6 million with tin exports of US $ 279.0 million and non tin exports of US $ 38.6 million. While the cumulative export value from January to July 2008 in total increased 109.94 percent compared to the same period in 2007 from US $ 759.0 million to US $ 1,593.5 million.

In the period from January to July 2008, tin exports to Singapore reached the largest amount of US $ 1,042.6 million or 84.60 percent of the total tin exports. While the total tin export of Bangka Belitung Islands Province cumulatively from January to July 2008 increased by 133.28 percent compared to the same period in 2007 from US $ 528.3 million to US $ 1,232.5 million.

During the period from January to July 2008, all categories of goods experienced an increase in export value. Metal ore and metal scraps increased by 415.66 percent compared to the same period in 2007 from US $ 3.1 million to US $ 16.0 million, followed by animal or vegetable oils and fats; Coffee, tea and herbs; Rubber and rubber goods; Salt, sulfur, soil and stone; And fishery and processed products.

The contribution of the four countries reached 82.74 percent of the total imports of Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
