EXPORT OF BANGKA BELITUNG ISLANDS
JULY MONTH REACHES US $ 228,7 MILLION

The value of Bangka Belitung Islands Exports in July 2007 reached US $ 228.7 million consisting of tin exports of US $ 177.6 million and non tin of US $ 51.0 million.

Tin exports in July 2007 reached US $ 177.6 million while the export value from January to July 2007 reached US $ 528.3 million, an increase of 12.02 percent compared to the same period in 2006 of US $ 471.6 million

The largest tin export in July 2007 was to Singapore amounting to US $ 172.3 million or 96.99 percent of total exports in July 2007.

Non-tin export increase in January-July 2007 occurred in almost all categories of goods, except the oil or animal fat category decreased 2.35 percent compared to the same period in 2006. Non-tin export commodities that provide the highest role are animal or vegetable oils or fats / CPO with a value of US $ 40.5 million with a role of 16.72 percent, followed by pepper of US $ 14.6 million (6.03 percent), and rubber and rubber goods with a value of US $ 10.2 million (4.22 percent).
