Abstract

In September 2016 the City Tanjungpandan deflation of 0.68 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 131.70 after earlier in August 2016 also experienced a deflation of 0.58 percent with CPI of 132.60.
Deflation occurs due to a decrease in the price indicated by the decline in the index in four groups namely foodstuffs expenditure of 1.39 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.06 percent; clothing group by 0.36 percent; and transportation, communication and financial services by 2.74 percent. While the group experienced an increase in the index is processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.21 per cent; Health group by 0.36 percent; and education, recreation and sports by 0.10 percent.
The inflation rate September 2016 calendar year amounted to 2.94 percent and the inflation rate year-on-year (September 2016 to September 2015) amounted to 1.53 percent.
The core components in September 2016 contributed to deflation of 0.14 percent. While the component whose price is set by the government deflation of 0.27 percent. Likewise, the volatile components deflation of 0.27 percent.
