Abstract

A. DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM

Number of guests staying at the five-star hotel in Bangka Belitung Province in March 2016, there were 26 255 people. This number is up 37.20 percent compared to the previous month the number of guests which amounted to 19 136 people (Table 1). The increase in the number of guests happen to foreign and domestic tourists. Foreign guests rose sharply by 674 people (204.24 percent). While domestic guests rose quite sharply by 6445 votes (34.27 percent).
The room occupancy rate (TPK) star hotels in Bangka Belitung Islands in March 2016 amounted to 46.85 percent (Table 2), a significant increase compared to the value of 13.81 points TPK in February 2016 amounted to 33.04 percent.
TPK highest five-star hotel by district / city in March 2016 in the District of Belitung (53.06 percent), followed by Central Bangka regency (50.14 percent) and Bangka (42.82 percent). While TPK Pangkalpinang only 39.71 percent.
In March 2016, the average length of stay of the total at the five-star hotel for 1.88 days, an increase when compared to the previous month. During March, the average length of stay (2.24 days) of 0.37 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.87 days).

B. DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

Number of inter-island passenger sea transport departing from Bangka Belitung Province in March 2016 totaled 4.95 thousand people, an increase of 1.48 percent compared to February 2016 reached 4,88 thousand people (Table 5). When compared with the same period in the previous year (Jan-Mar 2015), the number of passengers fell sharply by 91.65 per cent.
The number of inter-island sea transport passengers coming in Bangka Belitung Province in March 2016 totaled 5.79 thousand the number significantly increased by 2.77 percent over the previous month. When compared to the same period last year (Jan-Mar 2015) passenger flow comes increased quite sharply by 93.08 per cent.
The volume of goods loaded at the port in March 2016 amounted to 1062.89 thousand tons, up significantly by 10.58 percent compared to February 2016 amounted to 961.18 thousand tons.
The volume of goods unloaded during the month of February 2016 as much as 283.03 thousand tons, up quite sharply to 59.81 percent compared to the previous month to reach 177.11 thousand tons.
Number of air passengers departing from Bangka Belitung Islands in March 2016, there were 111.20 thousand, up by 25.81 percent compared with the previous month to reach 88.38 thousand people.
The number of passengers who come to Bangka Belitung using air transport in March 2016 amounted to 116.39 thousand, up by 29.78 percent compared to the previous month.
