Abstract

A. DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM

  • Number of guests staying at luxury hotels in Bangka Belitung Islands in January 2016, there were 19 147 people. This number decreased 31.61 percent compared to the previous month the number of guests which amounted to 27 997 people (Table 1). The decline in the number of guests happen to foreign and domestic tourists. Foreign guests was down by 7 votes (2.61 percent). While domestic guests was down sharply by 8843 votes (31.89 percent).
  • The room occupancy rate (TPK) star hotels in Bangka Belitung Islands in January 2016 amounted to 27.99 percent (Table 2), sharply down 17.74 points compared to the value of TPK amounting to 45.73 percent in December 2015.
  • TPK highest five-star hotel by district / city in January 2016 in the District of Belitung (38.96 percent), followed by Central Bangka regency (34.13 percent) and the City Pangkalpinang (17.56 percent). While TPK Bangka is only 15.68 percent.
  • In January 2016, the average length of stay of the total at the five-star hotel for 1.68 days, decrease when compared to the previous month. During January, the average length of stay (1.89 days) was 0.21 days longer than Indonesian guests (1.68 days).

B. DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
  • Number of inter-island passenger sea transport departing from Bangka Belitung Islands in January 2016, there were 8.84 thousand, down sharply compared to 41.70 percent in December 2015, which reached 15.16 thousand people (Table 5). When compared with the same period in the previous year (January 2015), the number of passengers fell by 41.57 per cent.
  • The number of inter-island sea transport passengers coming in Bangka Belitung Islands in January 2016, there were 11.37 thousand amount is down quite sharply by 25.36 percent over the previous month. When compared to the same period last year, the flow of incoming passengers also decreased by 16.53 percent.
  • The volume of goods loaded at the port in January 2016 amounted to 595.59 thousand tons, down sharply by 74.16 percent compared to December 2015 amounted to 2304.77 thousand tons.
  • The volume of goods unloaded during the month of January 2016 as 1450.28 thousand tons, up by 136.61 percent compared to the previous month to reach 612.95 thousand tons.
  • Number of air passengers departing from Bangka Belitung Islands in January 2016, there were 100.11 thousand, sharply down 20.70 percent compared to the previous month to reach 126.25 thousand.
  • The number of passengers who come to Bangka Belitung using air transport in January 2016 amounted to 105.49 thousand, Compared to the previous month, there was a significant decline of 13.37 percent.
