Abstract

  • Bangka Belitung Islands economy in 2015 as measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp60,99 trillion and the GDP per capita reached Rp44,43 million. While the GDP at constant prices (ADHK) in 2010 reached Rp45,96 trillion.
  • Economic Bangka Belitung 2015 grew by 4.08 percent, slowed down when compared to 2014 amounting to 4.67 percent. On the production side, the highest growth by Business Sector Administration, Defence and Compulsory Social Security 9.78 percent. On the expenditure side the highest growth achieved by Component Consumption Expenditure of Non Profit amounted to 7.03 percent.
  • Economic Bangka Belitung fourth quarter of 2015 when compared to the fourth quarter of 2014 (y-on-y) grew by 4.28 percent experienced a slowdown when compared to the same period the previous year by 4.70 percent.
  • Economic Bangka Belitung fourth quarter of 2015 when compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q) grew by 1.32 percent, higher than the growth in the third quarter of 2015. On the production side, this was due to the improved performance of Industrial Manufacturing; Electricity Procurement; Water Supply; Construction and increasingly menggeliatnya some field services business. Economic growth in the island of Sumatra in 2015 only reached 3.54 percent, tends to slow down compared to 2014 which reached 4.58 percent. Smog disasters, droughts, rising fuel prices and electricity tariffs are the main factors causing a slowdown in economic growth. On the other hand, a slowing global economy and a decline in world crude oil prices had an impact for Indonesia, including Sumatra.
