Abstract

DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM

The number of guests staying at the five-star hotel in Bangka Belitung Province in October 2015, there were 25 944 people. This number increased by 8.82 percent compared to the previous month the number of guests who only amounted to 23 842 persons (Table 1). Foreign guests rose by 196 people (74.52 percent) and domestic guests as many as 1,906 people (8.08 percent).
Room occupancy rate (TPK) star in Bangka Belitung Province in October 2015 amounted to 41.80 percent (Table 2), down 6.50 points compared to the value of TPK September 2015 which reached 48.30 percent.
TPK highest five-star hotel by district / city in October 2015 is in Central Bangka regency (52.04 percent), followed by the District of Belitung (46.97 percent) and Pangkalpinang (37.21 percent). While TPK Bangka only 24.42 percent.
In October 2015, the average length of stay of the total at the five-star hotel for 1.86 days, decreased when compared to the previous month. During October, the average length of stay (4.81 days) is longer than a 3-day Indonesia (1.81 days).

DEVELOPMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

The amount of inter-island passenger sea transport departing from Bangka Belitung Province in October 2015, there were 10.51 thousand, down 21.86 percent over the previous month which stood at 13.45 thousand people. When compared with the same period in the previous year (January-October 2014), the number of passengers fell by 46.72 percent.
The amount of inter-island sea passenger transport which came in Bangka Belitung Province in October 2015, there were 13.34 thousand, up by 1.41 percent compared to 13.15 thousand in September 2015. When compared to the same period last year, the current incoming passengers also decreased by 33.45 percent.
The volume of goods loaded at the port in October 2015 reached 504.70 thousand tons, up 3.65 percent when compared to the previous month amounted to 486.92 thousand tons. When compared with the same period the previous year increased by 10.10 percent.
The volume of goods unloaded during the month of October 2015 amounted to 174.38 thousand tons, up 13.69 percent compared to the previous month amounted to 153.37 thousand tons. When compared with the same period the previous year (January to October 2014) a decline of 18.85 percent.
Number of air passengers departing from Bangka Belitung in October 2015 fell 4.62 percent to 83.92 thousand of which reached 87.92 thousand people.
The number of passengers who come to Bangka Belitung using air transport in October 2015 amounted to 85.90 thousand passengers, an increase of 2.00 percent compared to the previous month 84.22 thousand people.
