Abstract

Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) Kep Bangka Belitung Province 2014 at 75.32 on a scale of 0 to 100, this figure increased by 6.53 points compared with IDI Kep. Bangka Belitung Province 2013 by 68.79. Despite the significant increase, the level of democracy in the province of Kep. Bangka Belitung still remain in the category. The level of democracy are grouped into three katergori of "good" (index> 80), "moderate" (index 60-80), and "bad" (index <60).
The increase in numbers is a composite index is influenced by changes in three aspects of democracy which measured the Civil Liberties (Civil Liberty) which rose 4.64 points from 85.16 in 2013 to 89.80 in 2014, Political Rights (Political Rights) sebesar56 , 48pada 2013 or an increase of 5.88 points compared to the year 2013 by 50,60.Dan Democratic Institutions (Institution of Democracy) which also rose by 9.92 poinyaitu from 77.09 in 2013 to 87.01 in 2014.
In methodological data collection used four data sources such as: (1) review local newspapers, (2) review of documents (legislation, Pergub, etc.), (3) Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and (4) in-depth interviews.
