Abstract

  • On July 2015 Pangkalpinang City experienced inflation of 3.18 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 121.65 after earlier deflation in June 2014, amounting to 0.14 percent with CPI of 117.90.
  • Inflation occurs because of the increase in the price indicated by the rise in the index in six groups of expenditures that foodstuffs by 7.89 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 2.08 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel 0.23 percent; clothing group by 0.69 percent; health group by 0.01 percent; as well as transport, communication and financial services 4.91 percent. While the education, recreation, and sport stable.
  • The inflation rate in July 2015 calendar year is inflation of 2.87 percent and the inflation rate year-on-year (July 2015 to July 2014) amounted to 7.50 percent.
  • All components contributed to inflation in this month. The core components on the July 2015 inflation contributed 0.68 percent; volatile components also by 1.41 percent; as well as components whose price is set by the government contributed to inflation by 1.09 percent.
