Based on the results Podes 2014, in April 2014 there were 381 village-level administrative region in Bangka Belitung Province which consists of 309 villages and 72 urban villages. Podes also noted that there are as many as 47 districts and 7 districts / cities in Bangka Belitung Islands. From Podes 2014, there are two new indicators Geographic Difficulty Index (IKG) is a composite index weighted by 0-100 scale calculated for each region of village-level administration. The greater the index shows the geographic difficulty level higher. IKG to the village in the province of Bangka Belitung varies with the range between 15.95 to 70.04. IKG Data has become one of the components in the allocation of the Village Fund which commenced in 2015's.

Based on 2014 Podes in Bangka Belitung Province identified as many as 166 villages / wards (43.57%) which is located on the waterfront and as many as 215 villages / wards (56.43%) which is not directly adjacent to the sea. a. There are 6 villages / wards no SD / MI (1.57%).
b. The 47kecamatan (100%) in Bangka Belitung Province has provided Puskesmas / Puskesmas (sub).
c. There are 200 villages / wards (52.49%) who do not have the market, either by building market as well as market without building.
d. Entire villages / wards (100%) in Bangka Belitung has had a family of electric power users both electric power and Non PLN (private, governmental or private).
e. For the existence of a major street lighting there are 74 villages / wards (19.42%) who do not have the lighting in the village main street / village
f. There are 62 villages / wards (16,27) which do not have public transport that passes through the villages / wards
