The 2025 Domestic Goods Trade Survey (VPBD-25) briefing was held online and officially opened by BPS Director of Distribution Statistics, Sarpono. The event was attended by survey coordinators from BPS provincial and regency/municipal offices.
VPBD-25 is expected to provide a detailed profile of business activities in the trade sector, as well as a clearer picture of interprovincial trade flows across Indonesia. The results will serve as a valuable reference for stakeholders in developing a more efficient domestic trade distribution system.
In his opening remarks, Director Sarpono emphasized the strategic importance of VPBD-25 as a tool to support policy-making for domestic goods distribution. The survey not only captures trade activity across regions but also sheds light on distribution patterns, trade networks, and challenges faced by businesses on the ground.
Through this briefing, participants received technical guidance on the survey’s methodology, instruments, and field implementation procedures, including strategies for ensuring data quality. It is expected that survey coordinators at both the provincial and local levels will manage the implementation of VPBD-25 effectively, ensuring accurate, reliable, and timely data.
The survey outcomes will provide a strong foundation for designing data-driven, adaptive domestic distribution policies that enhance trade connectivity and support national economic growth.
