Facilitator Workshop for the Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) Focus Group Discussions

Statistics Indonesia (BPS) held an online workshop for facilitators of the Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) Focus Group Discussions (FGD). The event was attended by representatives from provincial BPS offices, provincial Kesbangpol (National Unity and Politics Agency) across Indonesia, and members of the national IDI working group, including the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polhukam) and the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).

The IDI is one of the key indicators used to measure political development in the national development planning framework. The 2024 IDI carries particular importance, as it aims to capture the quality of democracy during the transition of government—especially given that 2024 was a major political year with both national and regional elections held simultaneously.
