Internalization of SHPSHPB-2025

The BPS Price Statistics Directorate held the 2025 SHPB Internalization (2023=100) to improve the quality of the Wholesale Price Index (IHPB) data. As of January 2025, there have been changes in the calculation of IHPB, including updates to the base year, commodity coverage, classification, and value composition.

This activity was attended by all provinces and districts/cities with monthly or weekly SHPB samples. It is hoped that this internalization will strengthen the understanding and accuracy of IHPB data in describing price trends at the wholesale level.
