As a member of the G20 and having a large economic share of the world economy, Indonesia must be active in determining macroeconomic statistics. Therefore, in determining changes to the base year of GDP/GRDP, BPS plans to use the CVM (Chain Volume Measures) method, which uses the base year price that is updated annually.

It is expected that estimates of GDP, GRDP, and economic growth will be more up-to-date, accurate, reliable, and free of subjectivity.
